| This invention discloses a method for preparing high temperature resistant polypropylene, which is composed of: polypropylene 67.9-85 wt.%, calcium carbonate 2-10 wt.%, talcum powder 30-40 wt.%, and antioxidant 1010 0.1-1 wt.%. This invention uses optimized talcum powder/calcium carbonate system to modify polypropylene, thus the obtained high temperature resistant polypropylene has moderate mechanical properties and high thermal deformation temperature (increased from 54.3 deg.C to 90.1 deg.C as tested under 18.5 N/mm2). The high temperature resistant polypropylene can be used in benzene-washing process in the coking industry. | |||
