Abstract:
    The present invention discloses carbon nanotube reinforced polyvinyl alcohol composite material, which contains carbon nanotube in 1-9 wt% and polyvinyl alcohol 91-99 wt%. The composite material is prepared through mixing cholate and carbon nanotube in water at room temperature to form suspension, adding water solution of polyvinyl alcohol via stirring to obtain water solution of carbon nanotube and polyvinyl alcohol, pouring the water solution into mold and evaporating at room temperature to obtain the composite material. The composite material has polyvinyl alcohol as matrix and cholate modified carbon nanotube as additive, possesses greatly raised mechanical performance, and maybe used in producing high strength and high modulus polyvinyl alcohol fiber product.
