Abstract:
     The present invention is electrochemical process of preparing lignin in different molecular weight. During electrochemical reaction process, power consumption is controlled to makes lignin polymerize or degrade. In a special reactor, 2-13 V voltage is applied to lignin in certain amount in pH 2-3 solution for 1-90 hr. The reaction product may be used in synthesizing excellent surfactant, dye dispersant and cement dispersant as well as material for synthetic resin. Compared with available chemical process and thermochemical process, the process of the present invention is mild in reaction condition, needs no catalyst and other chemical reagent added, produces no environmental pollution and is easy to control in the molecular weight of lignin.
