Abstract:
     A process for extracting protein from leather leftover incldues such steps as pretreating, hydrolyzing, decolouring, concentrating and drying, and features that activated carbon is used for decolouring, the acidolysis and neutralization are use to transform harmful Cr ion to Cr(OH)SO4 reused in tanning, the extracted protein containing 18 amino acids can be used as additive of feed, and the residual dregs can be used as high-quality organic fertilizer. Its advantages include high efficiency, less investment, low cost and use of waste.
