Abstract:
     Add lithium chloride (1.2-1.8% weight of reactants) and pyridine (pyridine/P-phenyldiamine=0.6-1.2 mole ratio) to a reactor filled with N-methyl-pyvrolidone, then add P-phenyldiamine to the reactor. After P-phenyldiamine has been dissolved completely, add P-phthalic acetochloride powder in two steps (PPD concentration is 0.2-0.45 mol/l, TC1 0.3-0.25% in excess). The reaction is under nitrogen protection at mormal pressure and stirring. Reaction temp. is kept at-5-80 deg.C. Viscocity of the polymer produced by this method is stable at 5.5-6.0.
