Abstract:
     In preparing poly (arylene ketones), especially poly (arylene ether ketones) in which all connections being made in para-positions, by Friedel-Crafts polymerization reaction in the presence of Louis acid, the product obtained is usually difficult for post-treatment. It is difficult to remove from the reactor, and also hard to purify. To the reaction mixture add a liquefier, such as hydrogen halide, especially hydrogen chloride, gel or liquid easy for treatment can be obtained. It is suitable to add hydrogen halide under pressure, and a diluting agent may be added with hydrogen halide simultaneously.
