Abstract:
     The composition of present invention is used for manufacture of processing articles, such as film, or varnish, lacquer or adhesives, comprising high-molecular-weight aromatic polyimide resins which are products of condensation polymarization-imination reaction of aromatic tetracarboxylic acids with aromatic aiamines. The aromatic tetracarboxylic acids contain over 50 gram mole persent of 3,4,3',4'-biphenyl tetracarboxylic acid, or anhydride, carboxylate thereof and the aromatic diamines contain over 50 gram mole % of 4.4'-diamino-diphenyl ether. The resulting products can be dissolved in the solution mixture prepared by mixing more than 10% by weight of phenol or resorcin as the first component of the solvent, and with phenol or methyl phenols as the second component of the solvent.
