Abstract:
     Polymerization of polyesters to form macromolecules is usually conducted in solid state and in the presence of an inert gas stream. This stream can eliminate volatile produces in reaction and heat the polyester. By pulsing inert gas through the polyester, the total amt. of inert gas needed for the solid polymerization of the polyester is greatly reduced.
