Abstract:
     This invention offers the method of producing a kind of thermoplastic polyester resin. In preparation for the invented resin, first maleic anhydride, rosin and ethylene glycol react in esterification at the temp. of 170-240 deg.C, then methyl-methacrylate or butyl-methacrylate are added and in the presence of an initiator and at the temp. of 110-145 deg.C copolymerized with styrene, finally the resin obtained may be prilled by cooling or made into solution by adding solvent. The invented resin is available to produce plastic varnish and various paints for road mark, floor and high-grade wooden furniture, etc.
