Abstract:
     A modified polyester fiber, dyable under normal atmosphere and low temperature by cation dyestuff, is fabricated by adding diformic acid-diformic ester sodium benzene sulfonate to prime feedstock of TPA (terephthalic alcohol) and EG (ethylene glycol) in the reaction of ester exchange followed by block polycondensation after adding polyester stemmed from aliphatic diacid having carbon atoms of six to ten and EG (ethylene glycol) in the stage of either ester exchange or polycondensation. The modified polyester fiber thus fabricated possesses not only good dyeability, spinability and excellent physical properties, but also excellent resistence to light and much improvement of use value of the final products. It can be widely used in either textile spinning or weaving with other fibers.
