Abstract:
     The present invention adopts new activator-persulfate and sulfite-to initialize copolymerization of butylacrylate, styrene and acrylic acid in emulsion at 30-70 deg.C. to manufacture styrene emulsion. Amounts of pesulfate and sulfite are 0.1-1.0% and 0.05-0.5% of butyl acrylate-styrene monomer mixture respectively. The production cycle of this method is half of that of conventional ones, reaction temp. lowers by 30 deg.C and is characterized by low production cost, great economical profit. The product can be used us paint for underwater constructions.
