Abstract:
     The invention concerns a catalyst of high activity for stereo-directed polymerization of styrene or copolymerization of styrene with other olefines. The catalyst is composed of TiCl4. MgCl2. SiCl2Ph2 and neodymium compounds. e.q. NdCl.3 C2H5OH, NdCl3.3C3H7OH or NdCl3.3C4H9OH. The catalyst simultaneously raises the polymerization rate, catalyst efficiency, conversion of monomer, stereo-specificity of the polystyrene. The catalyst can also be used in copolymerization of styrene with common olefins (e.g.ethylene) or homo-polymerization of olefins (e.g.ethylene).
