Abstract:
     The present invention aims at reducing the production cost of gettama gum and raising the yield. The leaf and stem segment of gettama seedling are inoculated in solid MS or B5 culture medium with added 2,4-D and 6-BA and cultured to obtain callus. Stoved callus powder is leached in benzene or trichloromethane for 24-48 hr, and gettama gum is separated out through methanol precipitation. The simple and practical method is suitable for industrial production of gettama gum.
