Abstract:
    This invention relates to an improved resin hydrotreating process that maintains resin softening point and aromaticity as well as catalyst lifetime. The process is particularly useful for hydrotreating resins containing one or more halogen residues. Pressures are maintained at 2000 psi or less. Color is substantially reduced while softening point is not decreased by more than 8 DEG C.
