Abstract:
     The method includes the preparation of the serous cellulose xanthate and the treatment method of waste water containing chromium, cyanide and other heavy metal ions. the characteristics of the method comprise, synthesizing the serous cellulose xanthate from carbon disulfide, sodium hydroxide and scraps of paper pretreated by alkali; the treatment of chromium waste water is by adding lead nitrate to form lead chromate precipitate and recovering it; the treatment of cyanide waste water is by adding ferrous sulfate and copper sulfate to form copper ferrocyanide precipitate and recovering it; and removing the heavy metal ions from waste water is by additing the serous cellulose xanthate.
