Abstract:
     The title prepn. method is of treatment of red seaweeds with solution of inorganic compounds in organic solvents. The yield is 50% higher than that of prior methods. The solution contains sodium hydroxide 5-30% and alkali salt or alkali earth salt 10-40%. The chemicals used are of low cost and easy to procure, and the process of prodn. is quite simple. The product is often used in foodstuff, medical and cosmetic industry.
