Abstract:
     This method consists in: the raw material is selected, washed, immersed, stirred, and centrifuged to separate the solution of gum from the residue, After treating with modifying additive, the solution is concentrated to a grayish white liquid wormwood gum. If concentration is continued, powdery wormwood gum is obtained. By centrifuging and further dry, grinding and degreasing, by product of wormwood oil, sand wormwood protein powder, crude wormwood powder can be obtained from the degummed residue. Both of sand wormwood gum and its by-products can be used extensively in the fields of food, chemical petroleum, spinning and light industries as well as in agriculture.
