| The complex compound consists mainly of crosslinked xanthate of water-unsolvable polyvinyl alcohol. It also contains trithiocarbonate, hydroxide and carbonate. The said complex compound can remove the heavy metal ions in aqueous solution. Its preparation method is that crosslinked water-unsolvable polyvinyl alcohol which has been soaked in strong alkaline solution reacts on CS2 resulting in xanthation reaction at 20-40 deg.C in alkaline solution. The said complex compound has high efficiency of removing heavy metal ions. It has high capture capability like that of water-unsolvable starch xanthate and the regeneration property like that of wood scrap xanthate, but it has no demerits of the two above-said xanthates. Therefore, it is possible to save huge high-quality starch and timber. | |||
