Abstract:
     The technique uses the root of bidentate achyranthes as material. Its maceration extract is deposited in two stages by using organic solvent, the product is dialyzed and freeze-dried. The crude polysaccharide is deposited again with alcohol to obtain the refined polysaccharide. The molecalar weight is small. It can enhance the immunity function, protect liver and inhibite tumour. The technique is simple, source of material is extensive, purity is high, toxicity is low. The rat is still alive with injection LD50 1534 mg/kg or oral 20,000 mg/kg.
