Abstract:
     The present method is used to remove salts retained in glucomannan after inhibiting water absorption and swelling with salts ( organic or inorganic salts). It is characterized by using mixed solution selected from water, aqueous organic solvent, aqueous salt ( organic or inorganic) solution and aqueous acid-alkali solution in any conbination to wash glucomannan inhibited by salts ( organic or inorganic) until its water absorption and swelling at room temp. back to normal. The present method can better remove residual salts in glucomannan, thus increases its purity and quality.
