Abstract:
     The technology of this invention is characterised by using industrial crude insulin as raw material, purification effected by series chromatography using alkali Al2O3 (or CM-Sephadex C-50) and QAE-Sephadex A-50, further purifying the collected solution by filtering through Sephadex G-50 chromatography, and, finally, freezing drying of the collected solution. The single-peak insulin of high purity is thus obtained. The amount produced changes with the number and size of chromatographic columns. The product is white in color and readily soluble, having a biological activity not less than 26LU/mg, and may be used as standard protein or to make medical preparations.
