Abstract:
     Chitin-protein complex is made from chitin containing bio-waste of class crustacean. This complex is different from chitin and deacetylate chitin, and having the activity of interfering the growth of and killing nematodes, is therefore useful to agriculture and gardening. Method of using the complex is to mix it in an amount which is effective for killing nematodes with cultural medium for plant growth. The complex can further serve as a slow releasing nitrogen source, rendering it especially suitable to be used together with fertilizers and soil conditioners.
