Abstract:
     The present invention refers to the production of keratin using animal hair and related purification method. There are about 19 alpha-aminoacids in animal hair. The present invention applies heating and high pressure swelling method to break and hydrolyze s-s bond within keratin molecule, resulting in water-soluble, easily digested polypepticide mixture with digestion rate of about 80%. The crude keratin is again treated chemically to obtain amino acids necessary for the preparation of medicines, and provide raw materials for making cosmetics as well.
