Abstract:
     The process for extracting heme and protein powder from animal blood includes making qualified blood powder from animal blood, extracting heme from the blood powder under the non-aqueous condition by means of mixed solvent in which pyridine is main component, washing the blood powder after extraction with alcohol to obtain protein powder, and vacuum distilling the extracted liquid to obtain heme.
