Abstract:
     A phytosterol extracting process includes the following steps: heating at 60-130 deg.C to melt asphalt and adding alkali and water to saponify for 3-10 hr and stirring while maintaining the temperature; selectively extracting phytosaterol with organic solvent for 5-24 hr in solid-liquid extracting system; cooling the liquid extract and then filtering to obtain coarse phytosaterol; and crystallization once or twice of coarse phytosaterol to obtain the phytosterol product. The extracting process of the present invention is simple, low in solvent consumption, high in phytosterol yield, and low in production cost.
