Abstract:
     The charateristics of this method are (1) The extracted licoricic acid, after forming mono-ammonium salt, is adsorbed on powdered polyamide and then eluted by polar solvent, (2) The ammonium salt is deammoniated by cationic ionexchange resins. The crystalline licoricic acid of high purity thus obtd. is mainly used in vein injection. It is widely applied in treatment of hepatitis, dermal alergosis and drug poisoning etc. with evident curing effect.
