Abstract:
     The haemostatic of this invention is produced by using a kind of plant belonged to the chonglou genus of lily family, especially dianchonglou, as the mian raw material. The glucosides (VI) and (VII) possessing physiological activity, uterine contraction and blood-stanching actions are extracted by ethanol. The extract was concentrated to a thick paste under vacuum, dried and pulverized, then thoroughly mixed with suitable amount of excipient and made into a particular form. This haemostatic was mainly used for treatment of functional uterus haemorrhage, excessive menstruation and other kinds of uterus bleeding caused by various other reasons. Animal tests and clinical experiences have proved that this haemostatic had very little side effect and hardly any toxicity. The total effectivity attains 92.2-95.7% in 642 clinical tests.
