Abstract:
     The present invention refers to a method for production of sodium salt of propyl mannuronate sulfuric ester. Sodium alginate is used as the basic raw material to make mannuronic acid through hydrolysis. The acid is then esterified with epoxy propane into propyl mannuronate which is sulphonated by chlorosulfuric acid into sodium salt of propyl mannuronate sulfuric ester. It is a new substance and medicine, heparitin. It is non-toxic with high embolism inhibiting and antiatherosclerosis ability. It is characterized by its obvious ability of anticoagulation, blood lipid reduction, and blood viscosity reduction. It is an ideal medicine for cardiovascular diseases of blood deficiency.
