Abstract:
     The present invention comprises of using solid waste from furfural production as main raw material, which is sulfonated by sodium bisulfite; then sulfurous acid, potassium dichromate and iron salt are added successively to give a lignin iron-chromium chelate. The product is dried and pulverized and the oil drilling slurry diluent is thus obtained. This invention provides not only an economic and proper technology for treatment of the solid waste from furfural production and a solution to a long-standing problem of environmental pollution, but also a high quality diluent for oil drilling slurry.
