Abstract:
     This invention offers to a method for extracting alkaloids of Lutongding etc. from stephenia tetrandra plants using nontoxic solvents. It is characterized by taking advantage of the solubilities of Lutongding etc. in acid, alkali and alcohol being different from that of other alkaloids and salts, and the extration being carried out through stepwise separation. Thus environmental pollution and harmfulness to workers due to the toxic solvents such as chloroform, methanol, ether and benzene etc. adopted in the existing separation-extraction technology, may be eliminated. It can be applied not only for treating a single raw material, but also for treating a mixed raw material and those prods. inconsistent with the pharmacopeia to get up to standard.
