Abstract:
     The present invention refers to preparation of high-purity matrine tannate. The crude drug of flaves cent sophora is cut into pieces, water boiled, concentrated, and precipitated by ethanol. The resulting sediment is washed and filtered. The filtrate is concentrated, diluted, alkalized with sodium hydroxide, neutralized and precipitated with tannin. The precipitate is washed, filtered, stoved, and crushed to obtain matrine tannate of 19% content. The product thus made has high purity with bacteria specification meeting national medicine standards. It is suitable for large scale production with good stability and repeatability.
