Abstract:
     A process for synthesizing cationic quaternary flocculant by modifying lignin includes Mannich condensation to bind quaternary radical to lignin skeleton, alkylation to prepare said flocculant, and reducing distillation to separate said flocculant from solvent, and features no by-reaction. Obtained cationic quaternary flocculant may be used to treat waste dyeing and printing liquor with high decolouring rate and COD-removing rate, less consumption and low cost.
