Abstract:
     This method consists of saponifying C5-9's fatty acid, and the sponified product subjected to complex-exchanging reaction in presence of borates and cobalt salts. During the whole process, water is used as solvent; not easily combustible or explosive substance present in the system; neither odorous vapor nor gas is evolved. The operation is simple and easily controlled; no effluent will be resulted. The rubber products made with adhesives in which this promoter is admixed show very good aging properties, and the life of such rubber products is much longer. This promoter is not only used as promoter to enhance the adhesion between rubber and metal cord-fabric, but also used in the production of static electric metal powder in the coating industry.
