Abstract:
     This invention is related to a motor oil or lubricating oil in which contains 0.03-0.3% (wt) reaction product of succinic anhydride promotor and basic magnesium sulfonate. The weight of the titled product is directly proportional to the weight of metallic magnesium existed in the oil. Even though the oil has to pass the restrict cummins test for water resistance, it is not neccessary to admix additional additives of water resistance and a co-promotor composed of naphthenic acid and/or salycilic acid may also be used.
