Abstract:
     The present invention belongs to the field of chemical pesticides. It is an intermediate benzofuran phenol for producing excellent systemic insecticide and miticide carbofura pesficide, i.e.2.3-dihydroxy-2.2-dimethyl-7-benzofuran phenol. Its method uses 0-chlorophenol (extracted from phenol through chloration) as the raw material, and under given conditions it makes the above-mentioned material to implement synthetic reaction with isobutylene chlorine so as to produce o-chlorophenyl methylpropenyl ether. Under the action of special assistant and related conditions the said material, through rearrangement, cyclization, hydrolysis, can be made into the benzofuran.
