Abstract:
     The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing tetrachlorobenzene anhydride which is used in fine chemical industry. It is to use chlorosulfonic acid as reaction solvent, iodine chloride or molybdenum chloride as catalyst, and then chlorine gas is introduced, and at the normal pressure the benzene anhydride is chloridized so as to synthesize the tetrachlorobenzene anhydride. It solves the problems of the ordinary tetrachlorobenzene anhydride synthesizing reaction temp. is high, operation is complex and its molar yield is low, and at the same time the recovery ratio of the solvent and catalyst may be raised, production cost is reduced, its product quality is raised and the discharged amounts of "three wastes" can be greatly reduced.
