Abstract:
     There are described novel chiral rhodium-diphosphine complexes of the formula [Rh (X) (Y) (L 0.1.2)]1.2 I wherein X, which can be optionally fixed to a carrier, represents a residue of the formula Z-Coo-,wherein Z signifies the group perfluorophenyl, perfluorobiphenyl or a residue of the formula and R1, R2 and R3 signify halogen, lower alkyl, perfluorophenyl, perfluoro-C 1-20-alkyl, hydrogen or the group-COA or AOC-(CF2)n-in which A signifies the residue -OR or -NR'2. with the proviso that at least one of the substituents R1, R2 and R3 signifies fluorine, R signifies hydrogen, lower alkyl or acation, R' signifies hydrogen or lower alkyl and n signifies a number 1 to 20 and wherein Y represents a chiral diphosphine ligand and L represents a neutral ligand. The complexes serve as catalysts in asymmetric hydrogenations.
