Abstract:
    The invention provides a novel process for producing N,N-disubstituted carboxylic acid amides represented by the following formula (I), which comprises contacting a Schiff base represented by the formula (II), with a carboxylic acid derivative represented by the following formula (III), in the presence of a silane compound represented by the following formula (IV), in the presence or absence of an inert organic solvent. N,N-disubstituted carboxylic acid amides of formula (I) are prepared for used as, for example, pharmaceutical materials, agricultural chemicals, original material thereof or intermediates thereof.
