Abstract:
     This process uses aryl-trihalo-methyl compound and its derivatives to conduct fluoridation with hydrofluoric acid in the presence of catalyst of substituted linear perfluoro alkyl sulfonyl fluoride or carboxyl fluoride to prepare corresponding aryl trifluoro-methyl compound and its derivitives. The catalytic efficiency of said catalyst is high, its consumption is less. It is low toxic, stable. The fluoridation may be carried out at room temp. or at lower temp. and lower pressure. The rate of reaction is both fast and stable, and is easily controlled. The yield may be as high as above 95 percent.
