     The present invention relates to the method of preparing total motherwort alkaloid with motherwort material. Via ion exchange resin process, motherwort extractive is purified to obtain total motherwort alkaloid product with alkaloid content higher than 50 %. The product may be used as the material for Chinese medicine effective part preparation. The technological process of the present invention is simple, has high efficiency and low cost, and is suitable for industrial production.
