Abstract:
     This invention discloses a process for producing mixed fertilizers slurry containing both N2 and P from phosphorus ore. Phosphorus ore is steeped by nitric acid forming an acid slurry which is then neutralized with amminia in two stages and cooled at the same time. In both stages of niutralization ammonium phosphate is added so as to supplement the necessary quantity of phosphorus. No more than 40% (in wt.) of the said supplementary ammonium phosphate is added in the first stage during which maintains the PH at 2-4, the remaining portion of ammonium phosphate is added in the second stage in which PH is adjusted to 5-6.
