Abstract:
     It is from crystallization sensitive glass such as Boro-silicate glass or glass porcellain. This method uses a glass pulling oven. Glass gob is introduced into the oven through the feed duct and pulled upwards forming glass ribbon having a width basically as the size of the oven. Two noble metal electric heating bars are installed on both sides of the pulling zone to heat the glass gob in the oven. The electric heating is devided in sections so as to prevent it from forming crystalline on both surfaces of the glass ribbon while pulling. In addition, the oven may be covered sectionally with movable covers.
