Abstract:
     The present invention is composed of such steps as follows: the raw material of glass is subjected to hydrolysis with hydrogen-oxygen flame to form fine particles of crystal glass and the prefabricated cylindrical blank which is solid or hollow is manufactured by depositing on the seed. The said blank, at least part of which, should contain GeO2. The depositted prefabricated blank is fed and then heated or sintered in such an environment in which there is inertia gas and the temperature is not less than 1600 deg.C. The optical fibre which is even in composition at longitidual direction and is low in attenuation of light transmission may be manufactured with the said glass prefabricated blank.
