Abstract:
     This invention is a kind of low alloy grey cast iron moulding material for blowing glass bottle and vessel into forms. Its composition by weight(%) is: C 3.3-3.8, Si 1.5-2.0, Mn 0.5-0.9, S 0.005-0.03, P 0.05-0.1, Cr 0.2-0.7, Mo 0.2-0.7, Cu 0.7-1.5, Mg 0.003-0.01 and the rest is Fe. It is smelt by electro-slag furnace lined with slag composition of CaO-CaFe-MgO. Under the condition that no nucleating agent is added, the metallographic organization of the mould is at a state of transition distribution from worm-like graphite to flake-like graphite. This kind of mould has the properties of oxidation resistance under high temp., anti-growth, anti-wear, good heat conductivity, proper strength and hardness, and easy machining. It is rather suitable for producing light-weighted bottle and vessel under high temp. and high speed.
