Abstract:
     In the present invention the thick-wall transparent quartz-glass tube, which has outer diameter of 150-200 mm, inner diameter of 50-80 mm, and length of 500-1,500 mm, is produced by using crystal powder as material and adopting once-through thermal-push forming method in an oxyhydrogen flame furnace in which a vertical central graphite push-out rod is used. This kind of thick-wall tube may be used as blanks either for producing quartz coating of optical fibre, or for producing other transparent quartz-glass tubes.
