| The present invention relates to doped quartz optical fibre. Into erbium-doped optical fibre, main-family amphoteric elements, such as Pb and Ga, are doped to change its fluorescence spctrum. The present invention not only widens the speotrum, but also makes the main peak of fluorescence spectrum near 1.55 microns, so that the modified quartz optical fibre is more applicable to optical fibre devices operating in 1.53-1.56 microns. | |||
