Abstract:
     During the evaporation of mother liquor in which all three kinds of impurities, Na2CO3, Na2SO4 and SiO2 exist in significant amounts, scale is likely to form on the wall of heaing tubes of conventional evaporators of outside heating type with naturala circulation of boiling liquor inside the tubes. The accumulation of scales seriously reduces the waporator efficiency. In this invention five effect evaporators in mixed feed operation with outside heating and forced circulation of boiling mother liquor autside of the heating tubes are used. At the same time silica seeding are added in the mother liquor. Scale formation is thus effectively prevented and consequently evaporating efficiency is greatly improved.
