Abstract:
The sodium oxalate is obtd. from the separation step after the extraction of bauxide by Bayer process. The chemical reagents which used in the digestion process may be recovered. The method is that the separated moist sodium oxalate and aluminium hydroxide or hydrate alumina and/or activated alumina at least with the molar ratio of aluminium to sodium being 0.8 are dryed by the waste gas from fluidized bed, particularly circulating fluidized bed, and the dried product is decomposed to produce sodium aluminate in above fluidized bed at 780--1000 deg.C.
