Abstract:
     This invention relates to a wet metallurgy technology. It is characterized in the fractionation of raw rare earth ore with the first mechanical sorter and then the obtained ore is transferred into the second mechanical sorter. Extracting and washing agents are added in to both sorters. The overflows from both the first mechanical sorter and the second mechanical sorter are combined together and undergo an operation of resin adsorption of ore slurry. The resin adsorbed with rare earth elements is put into exchanpe column, then it is separated by spraying and washing with spray-washing agent. The mother liquor thus obtained by spray-washing is precipitated by oxalic acid, and then filtered and calcinated. The various grades of mixed rare earth oxides of yttrium can be obtained. This invention possesses a high degree of mechanization, hence the higher productivity and the higher yield of rare earth metal.
