Abstract:
     A method for producing alumina from bauxite comprises: bauxite into alumina, grinding bauxite with molar ratio CaO : TiO2=0.7-2.0 in the presence of additive containing calcium; raising the temp. of the ore pulp thus obtained to 200-280 deg.C; adding additive containing calcium to the heated ore pulp to make its molar ratio become CaO: Fe2O3=0.1-0.3; diluting the ore pulp with technological water; isolating soliodoid from the aluminate solution containing sodium aluminate; cooling said aluminate solution to 40-50 deg.C in the presence of crystal seed to get soliquoid liquor; then separating the formed aluminum hydroxide from the soliquoid liquor.
